With its wholesome, nutty flavor, Barlean’s Lignan Flax Oil provides 1,550mg of plant-based ALA Omega-3 fatty acid per serving. Omega-3s are essential fatty acids that can’t be produced by the body, so we need to get them from foods or supplements. Our flax oil is an award-winning unfiltered flax oil, freshly pressed in the Pacific Northwest and protected from damaging heat and light from seed to bottle. It includes flax lignans, nutrients and antioxidants, making it a great addition to a healthy diet for the whole family.

    Pro tip: you’ll want to give the bottle a vigorous tap before using to loosen the softgels caps (they like to stick together).

    Do you sell vegan products?

    Barlean’s has many different vegan options that are perfect for those on a vegan diet. Our award-winning flax oil is vegan as well as a number of our Seriously Delicious products, milled flax seeds and other select vegan oils. We also now make Omega-3 supplements with algae oil, a vegan source of EPA/DHA. Note: Our softgels are made from bovine and are not vegan.

    Are your products Organic?

    A number of Barlean's products are organic and we provide the USDA Certified Organic symbol on the label of those products. All products are herbicide and pesticide free and manufactured without using solvents.

    Are your products non-GMO?

    The majority of our products are naturally non-GMO. Many have been verified by the Non-GMO Project. Their logo can be found on the labels of the products that have been verified through their organization. If you have any questions, please contact our customer service team.

    Where are your ingredients sourced from?

    All Barlean’s products are made with the highest quality ingredients; we use American-grown flaxseed and we get our fish sustainably off the coast of South America and the coast of Alaska.

    What allergens are present in Barlean's products?

    We use FDA-compliant allergen labeling and are a dairy-free facility. We always recommend you speak to your health care provider if you have a known allergen to make sure a product is right for you.

    Do your products need to be refrigerated before opening?

    All Barlean’s products are induction sealed so no oxygenation can occur. Therefore, they are shelf stable until opened as long as the product doesn’t sit in high heat for a prolonged period of time. You should, however, refrigerate our liquid supplements after opening.
