Looking for third-party test results?
Smart, you! It's important to know what's in the CBD you're buying. All Barlean's CBD hemp oils are third-party tested for heavy metals, pesticides and other toxins, as well as cannabinoid levels (including CBD and THC) and other results. That way you know that what's supposed to be in each bottle IS in there, and also that it DOESN'T have the stuff you don't want.
We make it easy to get lot-specific test results, directly from our website, for every bottle of CBD hemp oil we sell. Use the QR code on our labels and boxes, or visit Barleans.com/LookItUp to see what's in your bottle of Barlean's CBD Hemp Oil. Or just click below to go right to the page.
Once you're on our Look It Up page, you can search the full list of all product batches for each product. You'll find the batch/lot number printed on every single bottle and box of CBD we sell. It'll be toward the bottom of the label or box, along with the "best before" date. With our online tool, it's easy to check before you buy.
Let's Talk Farming.
The folks who farm the hemp for our USDA certified organic products are deeply committed to regenerative farming practices. They've been farming organically for many years. They conserve water and till minimally. They use companion crops and cover crops, which help to sequester carbon and add diversity to the soil. They don’t put chemicals on their fields – ever. If you've ever talked to an organic farmer, you'll know it's ALL about soil health, and often that requires doing things in ways that require more hands-on work, and often take longer. But they're not complaining; they wouldn't have it any other way.
But what about the farmers who grow hemp for our non-organic products? Actually, those folks do most everything the old-fashioned way, too. They have low energy and water use at the farm and they avoid soil erosion by timing their soil cultivation and ground cover plants just right. They allow some of that non-hemp vegetation to stick around a bit longer; it helps keep the soil healthy, and it helps keep the soil from blowing away during drier weather. They also use reduced tilling practices and amend their fields with compost as needed. Chemical pesticides? Not needed. That's the job of a nice big praying mantis population, and sometimes nematodes, too. Weeding is done manually.
It all takes a bit more time and work this way, but our farmers care about the land they grow on and the planet we all share. Sometimes what seems old-fashioned is really just the right way to do things.
